The Last of Us Day is almost here, and on September 26 every year, Naughty Dog celebrates the series in some way, big or small. This year, it might be more of the latter, with recent Twitter teases indicating that we might soon be getting a trailer for the upcoming The Last of Us HBO series, which is set to air in early 2023.
Though we did see a brief teaser for the TV show earlier this year, as Push Square reports, the Twitter activity of some key people might be hinting at a more substantial look tomorrow. Series director and Naughty Dog co-president Neil Druckmann – who also co-wrote the series and directed one of its episodes – and showrunner and co-writer Craig Mazin have recently published tweets that seem to suggest that Naughty Dog will be celebrating The Last of Us Day with a new look at the HBO series.
Interestingly, the official Twitter page of the show has seen recent updates, suggesting that we might soon be seeing the beginning of full-fledged marketing and promotion for the show.
As for what else Naughty Dog might have planned for The Last of Us Day, that remains to be seen. While the standalone multiplayer project isn’t set for its reveal until 2023, a PC version of The Last of Us Part 1 is currently in the works, and many will be waiting for confirmation of a firm release date.
