Team17’s Worms series has a history of releasing fun, accessible multiplayer games, and though Worms Rumble is trying something different, it’s still looking very interesting. As the first 3D game in the series, it’s looking to do some new things, and it’s out today for everyone to try out.
Worms Rumble has launched with three maps and three playable modes, but developer Team17 plans on adding more content to the game with post-launch updates. Cross-platform play across all the systems it’s available now is also supported. Curiously enough, it’s currently only available on PlayStation and PC, so whether or not it will come to Xbox and Switch (or other platforms) remains to be seen. In the meantime, check out its launch trailer below.
Worms Rumble is available on PS5, PS4, and PC. The game will also be available for free to all PlayStation Plus subscribers throughout the month. You can learn more about the game and Team17’s post-launch plans for the multiplayer title in our interview with lead designer Adam Findlay through here.
