According to a job posting for CD Projekt Red’s upcoming “RPG in a dark fantasy world”, widely believed to be the Witcher 3, it may contain a multiplayer in some form.
The listing says CDPR are hiring for a “multiplayer programmer,” and someone who has “experience with physics in [a] multiplayer environment.”
Fully fledged competitive multiplayer would be a bit of a stretch for the Witcher’s world, so our money is on The Witcher 3 containing online co-op in some form. At least, we hope so.
The Polish developer is also in the process of creating Cyberpunk, based on the eponymous pen-and-paper RPG.
