Tsukumo are one of the most important collectibles in WILD HEARTS. You get rewarded with Old Cogs for collecting them. The Cogs can be used to enhance the Tsukumos that follow you into battle during solo missions. Therefore, the more Tsukumos you have, the higher are your chances of surviving during a battle. But there are 250 of them spread throughout the world, and collecting them all can be a pain. So fret not, as we’ve put this together specifically for that purpose. Let’s begin!
How to find Tsukumos in WILD HEARTS
There is a better way to find all the Tsukumos instead of listing all the locations. However, you’d need a few items to set it up. Once you’re done, you’ll be able to find Tsukumos by yourself, without any additional assistance. Here is what you need to do:
1. Explore the map
You don’t have to specifically search for Tsukumos or any specific items. Simply explore the map and discover every corner. In the beginning, the map is covered with fog. It gradually disappears as you keep discovering new regions. Before going to the next step, make sure there isn’t any fog on the map.
2. Unlock Hunter Tower: Expansion
Open the Karakuri Skill Tree, scroll over to the Hunter Tower: Expansion upgrade, and unlock it. Doing so increases the radius of all Hunter Towers you place in any given area.
3. Hunter Tower Placement
Make sure to place the hunter towers evenly throughout the map. Most players don’t focus on the Dragon Karakuri at the beginning of the game. However, if you’re serious about finding collectibles, then you’d want to be more careful with tower placements. Every tower covers a circular area, and your goal is to cover every part of the map with them. If any part of the map is still covered in fog, explore the region and ensure it’s within a Hunter Tower’s radius.
4. Get the next Hunter Tower Upgrade
After the initial placements, you’ll need to enhance its abilities by unlocking the Hunter Tower Probe upgrade. Doing so will highlight all the collectibles that are within the radius of your Hunter Towers. Once you’ve covered the entire map in Hunter Towers, all the collectibles will become visible.
5. Activating Hunter Towers
The collectibles won’t appear on the map until you’ve activated the towers. Activating one tower will automatically activate all the others. So simply get to the nearest one and activate it.
6. How to look for Collectibles in WILD HEARTS
Once the towers are activated, all the collectibles will appear on the map as question marks (?). They can be a rare Talisman, a Document or a Tsukumo. You never know what you’re going to get so it’s better to check every location. Note that sometimes the collectibles are located at a higher level. So if it seems that you’re standing on top of a collectible but still cannot find it, look for a ledge or a higher ground directly above that location.
How to upgrade Tsukumos to max level?
To upgrade a Tsukumo, you must spend the Old Cogs (earned through collecting) at a campfire. Simply sit by the fire and launch the Enhance Tsukumo menu. Pick the upgrade you want and spend the cogs accordingly. You can upgrade the following aspects of a Tsukumo:
- Attack form
- Defense form
- Assist form
- Threader form
