The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt Will Receive Xbox One X, PS4 Pro Patches

"More info is coming" as per CD Projekt RED.

Despite earlier asserting that The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt would not support PlayStation 4 Pro due to work on Cyberpunk 2077 and Gwent taking priority, CD Projekt RED has confirmed to Eurogamer that it will indeed support Xbox One X and PS4 Pro.

The developer stated that, “I can confirm that we are working both on Xbox One X and PS4 Pro patches for The Witcher 3. No extra details at this moment. More info is coming.”

If you watched last night during Microsoft’s E3 presentation, then you probably saw The Witcher 3 sporting the “Xbox One X Enhanced” tag. Though 4K resolution support seems likely for both platforms, it remains to be seen what other enhancements will be arriving.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt released in 2015 to universal acclaim and has been lauded as one of the best open world action RPGs available. What are your thoughts on potential 4K resolution for Xbox One X and PS4 Pro? Let us know in the comments.
