Witcher 3 Hearts of Stone

While CD Projekt RED has had quite a bit of success with the launch of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, it appears the company isn’t ready to rest on its laurels. We already know that the developer is getting ready to launch new DLC this October in the form of Hearts of Stone. The company will be releasing another piece of DLC called Blood and Wine in the first half of 2016. Just what is planned beyond that release either for The Witcher 3 or any other projects is anybody’s guess. According to CEO Adam Kiciński, CD Projekt RED will announce it’s upcoming strategy in March of next year.

It seems likely that the company will time this announcement to come shortly after they release that second piece of DLC and that means it will be about something other than The Witcher 3. During a recent financial call, the company boasted that sales of its newest game have been very good and that is allowing it to move forward with a number of new ideas. The developer has been narrowing those ideas down to a select few and the champions of that winnowing are taking shape.

The company also made it clear that it understands it’s fans are a big reason the game has had as much success as it has and the firm wants to make sure it’s honoring those fans moving forward. It’s a safe bet that The Witcher 4 is not going to be in the cards right away. Just what those new ideas are going to be is anybody’s guess. Cyberpunk 2077, may be?
