The Last of Us Part 1 was easily the biggest new release last week, so it’s no surprise that the remake has debuted on top of the weekly physical sales charts in the UK.
As reported by GamesIndustry’s Christopher Dring on Twitter, The Last of Us Part 1 has “narrowly” topped the weekly charts, provided by the Gfk. Interestingly, Dring notes that the remake is “not a particularly big launch” and has sold “around half” of what Volition and Deep Silver’s Saints Row managed upon its launch last week.
As always, these charts are only for games’ physical sales, so it remains to be seen how much The Last of Us Part 1’s digital sales will contribute to its total figures.
In our review of The Last of Us Part 1, we awarded it a score of 9/10, saying, “The Last of Us Part 1 is an extremely faithful remake of the original. It could have benefited with improved gameplay, but what is here holds up extremely well, making it a blast to play through.” Read the full review through here.
The full UK charts will be going live soon, so stay tuned for that.
The Last of Us Part 1 is available on PS5. A PC version is also in development.
The Last of Us: Part 1 is narrowly No.1 in the UK physical retail chart this week. It’s a remaster and not a particularly big launch. It’s sold around half of what last week’s Saints Row managed. This is purely physical sales
