It’s been known for a while now that the upcoming Resident Evil 3 hasn’t been developed in-house at Capcom, and was instead worked on by M-Two, an external studio backed financially by Capcom and led up by former Capcom and Platinum man Tatsuya Minami. But it seems Resident Evil 3 is not the only game the two are working on together.

VGC recently published a new report talking about the studio’s involvement with the newest survival horror remake, and toward the end of the remake, dropped an interesting little tidbit. Apparently, M-Two are also the lead developers on a “larger remake project for Capcom.” This falls in line with another recent report, which said that M-Two are working on another Resident Evil game that is currently scheduled for 2022.

Resident Evil project that is going to be a larger remake than the upcoming Resident Evil 3 narrows down the prospects quite a bit. While the obvious guess here would be Resident Evil: Code – Veronica, if recent reports are to be believed, that game is nowhere close to being in development. The next guess would be Resident Evil 4– but that’s just speculation for now.

Resident Evil 3 is out for the PS4, Xbox One, and PC on April 3. Our review for the game recently went live, in which we called it “a solid enough game, but not nearly as impressive as other recent Resident Evil titles, and not nearly as good as it could and should have been.” You can read our full review through here.
