Developer Sloclap’s upcoming kung-fu brawler Sifu received another short trailer during Sony’s latest State of Play event. The trailer showcases a bunch of deadly brawls with the mob, and what looks like a fight club of sorts. Check out the trailer below for more details.

Sifu‘s main hook is that every time the player dies, the protagonist’s age increases- but so does their experience. Of course, it only adds up until a certain threshold, following which permadeath kicks in and the player has to start it all over again. It’s an interesting concept, and the sheer variety of moves and enemies – as seen in the trailer – will certainly make sure players are on their toes.

Sifu releases on PS4, PS5, and PC sometime in early 2022. Sony has also promised an in-depth look at Arkane’s upcoming Deathloop, so stay tuned in the meantime for more details on that front.
