Need for Speed Unbound

Criterion Games’ Need for Speed Unbound launched earlier this month, and despite not setting the UK sales charts on fire, the team is committed to future updates. In a Reddit post, community manager Jeff Braddock revealed that the team is on holiday break. After thanking fans, he confirmed that more information and updates would be revealed by the end of January 2023.

Post-launch updates will add new modes, progression and social features to Lakeshore Online. The first update expands on social play, and players can expect new cars, customization content, and features in subsequent updates.

Need for Speed Unbound is currently available for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. It takes place in Lakeshore, a new city based on Chicago, and sees the player indulging in qualifying races for a showdown called The Grand. The most defining feature is its cel-shaded characters and animated effects, which players can customize. For more details, check out our review here.
