Monster Hunter Rise

In its recent Monster Hunter Digital Event, Capcom unveiled the first details for Monster Hunter Rise’s Update Ver. 3.0 which is out today at 5 PM PDT (1 AM BST on May 27th). The update adds Crimson Glow Valstrax, a variant of the flagship monster from Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate, along with Apex Zinogre. Check out the trailer below.

Along with having new moves, Crimson Glow Valstrax has an interesting property. When trying to ride the monster, it can actually throw you off, which makes sense considering how strong its maneuverability is. Apex Zinogre is seemingly encountered in a Rampage quest and possesses even more Thunder attacks than its base version.

If that weren’t enough, the update also brings a new – or rather, the “true” ending – to the game. It sees Minoto and Hinoa chanting something and Wind Serpent Ibushi and Thunder Serpent Narwa appearing. Perhaps their fusion results in Allmother Narwa, who was leaked earlier today along with other Update Ver. 3.0 details.

Capcom also revealed its plans for the coming months which includes a collab in June with Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin, DLC and event quests. July and August see two more Capcom Collabs being added along with more event quests. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
