Monster Hunter Rise was, unsurprisingly, one hell of a game, and if there’s one thing its fans want, it’s more of it. Of course, Capcom is sticking with series traditions and releasing a G-Rank expansion for the game soon, with Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak having recently been announced at the previous Nintendo Direct. The announcement itself was little more than a CG trailer, but soon, we’ll be getting some more details on the expansion.
Taking to Twitter, Capcom confirmed that at their Tokyo Game Show 2021 event, which they’re calling the Monster Hunter Spotlight, they will reveal new details on the expansion. The event will kick off on September 30 at 6 AM PDT / 2 PM BST, but there’s no word yet on exactly how extensive the reveals here will he. Hopefully we’ll get to see some gameplay.
Monster Hunter Rise: Sunbreak is targeting a 2022 launch, and Capcom has confirmed that it will be launching simultaneously for Nintendo Switch and PC. Of course, with a PC version of the base game itself not having been dated yet, there’s questions about exactly how that launch will be handled. Here’s hoping we get some concrete details on that later this week.
