Most open world games of a certain size and scope are all but guaranteed to launch with technical issues, and that has been the case with Hogwarts Legacy as well. Avalanche Software’s action RPG can be a little rough around the edges with visual and technical aspects are corned, but the developer has started the processing of ironing out those issues.
Taking to Twitter, the developer recently confirmed that Hogwarts Legacy’s PC and Xbox Series X/S versions will be getting a patch today that will bring fixes for “a number of bugs and performance issues”. PS5 players will have to wait for the update until later in the week “due to some unforeseen issues”. On PS5, the patch will also fix a bug that prevents some players from unlocking the “Collector’s Edition” Trophy.
The developer hasn’t offered more details on what exactly the patch will be fixing, but that should become clearer when the full patch notes are published later today.
Hogwarts Legacy is available on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC. It launches for PS4 and Xbox One on April 4, and for Nintendo Switch on July 25.
Xbox Series X and PC players, expect a patch today that resolves a number of bugs and performance issues!
PS5 players, due to some unforeseen issues, we're targeting later this week to get your patch to you. Thanks for your patience! https://t.co/hPF39oNyGz
