Warner Bros.’ Hogwarts Legacy has been quite the subject of rumors as of late, starting with a trailer that’s supposedly being showcased at next month’s rumored State of Play. However, a recent rumor stated that it would be delayed into 2023 with development troubles apparently happening behind the scenes. AccountNGT – who leaked details on Star Wars Eclipse before and after its announcement – denied this and said it’s still coming this year.
In a new tweet, the leaker said that, “Now that the 2023 rumor has been debunked by several official sources I can post this tweet; ICYMI: As I said a few weeks ago, according to my info, Hogwarts Legacy will be released on Quarter 3 of this year.” They also noted that development is “going well” contrary to the initial delay rumor.
Aside from Warner Bros. suggesting that it would release after April 2022 and Avalanche Software being “excited” to share more news this year, there’s been no official confirmation of a release date. Hogwarts Legacy is currently set to release for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. As always, stay tuned for updates and additional details in the coming months.
