Without the upgrades to your Reverb Gauge, you won’t be able to execute powerful special attacks that are needed to take down late-stage enemies in Hi-Fi Rush. You can buy three gauges from Peppermint, but you can collect a lot more from all around the map. Once you have four pieces, you can put them together to increase your Reverb Gauge by one level. Here is a list of all the Reverb Core locations:
Track 1: A Fresh Start
- Reverb Core Piece #1 – Head up over the crane and enter the door after your first battle with the Special Attack. Ride The conveyor belt to the right. And then double back to find the Reverb core piece in the corner, wedged in between a create and the wall.
Track 2: Power up
- Reverb Core Piece #2 – You’ll come across a robot carrying a stack of boxes after your first fight. Climb the boxes on your right and then proceed your way towards the top. Don’t take the vent on the wall as it will continue the main story. Instead, head right and keep climbing higher within the rm until you reach the top. The Electric Reverb Core will be on the yellow catwalk behind a small metal box with a purple light.
- Reverb Core Piece #3 – Don’t enter the doors after the third fight. Instead head up the ramp towards the right and destroy the crates on your left. You’’ find the Electric Reverb Core just behind the crates.
Track 3: Trial By (Volcanic Fire)
- Reverb Core Piece #4 – Climb the stairs once you reach Lab 44 and move straight ahead. You’ll see the Electric Reverb Core Piece on your right.
- Reverb Core Piece #11 – You’ll need to complete the game in order to unlock this piece. Select the chapter from the post-game screen and proceed. After meeting the wheeled robots, use Macaron in the next open area by the two workers to smash through the wall. The Electric Reverb core should be directly behind the wall.
Track 4: Less Budget, More Problems
- Reverb Core Piece #12 – You’ll need to complete the game in order to unlock this piece. Select the chapter from the post-game screen and proceed. Complete the SPECTRA mission and make your way into the AR area. Go through the door and ascend the stairs in order to use the Korsica on the machine nearby. Now climb to the top and complete the challenge using only the dodge counter to score kills. You must maintain a perfect core in order to win in this mission. Once you finish the mission, you’ll be rewarded with Electric Reverb Core) if you meet the requirements.
Track 5: Breaking Out
- Reverb Core Piece #5 -In the entrance area to security node 2, take the elevator to the lower floor. Now go left and then go up. You’ll see the Electric Reverb Core after jumping a few levels towards the top.
- Reverb Core Piece #6 – In the main area, follow Route 1. It’s directly above in the direction where you first entered the room. Use Macron to smash the door and you’ll find an Electric Reverb Core in the room behind the broken door.
Track 7: The Climb
- Reverb Core Piece #7 – Use the jump pad to go up after the end of the 2D scene. After you enter the corridor, keep moving forward and then go upwards to the right. Now jump over to the other wall. Jump again towards the top and you’ll see the Electric Reverb Core near the vending machine. You should also notice Seb standing directly across the vending machine.
Track 8: A History Lesson
- Reverb Core Piece #8 – Go left after you’re done fighting the fire guy in the plaza. Keep heading left and go around the path until you come across the Electric Reverb Core in the corner of the garden, just beside the tree.
- Reverb Core Piece #9 – After you’re done with the electric floors, head over the gap containing the pendulums and turn right. Follow the corridor over the electric floor right to the end and you’ll eventually come across an Electric Reverb Core.
Track 10: A Masterplan
- Reverb Core Piece #10 – Turn around after knocking the head off the statue and using the rail transit system. Drop down to the grass below and you should find an Electric Reverb Core in front of some green crates.
