Fortnite Battle Royale (2)

If you’ve been playing Fortnite, you may be aware of the game’s Playground mode. Epic Games has now revealed that this limited time mode will be made unavailable a week from now on July 12.

The Playground mode is different from the combat-based modes in the game and focuses on players building various kinds of structures all over the game’s map with the creations disappearing after an hour. The community was so excited for this mode that it had to be closed off for a while due to the large number of players trying to play it. The Playground mode will be returning once the developers make some changes to it and introduce new features to make it a fully functional sandbox mode. In the next version of the Playground mode, we can expect  to see team selection options within the Playground, along with various other features, which include the following:

  • 1v1s and 2v2s
  • Aim assist for controllers
  • Editing other player’s structures
  • Traps affecting teammates/enemies correctly
  • Highlighting teammates on the map
  • Damaging enemies with your pickaxe

The developers also asked the community what they would like to see in the next version of this mode, so there may be some other changes introduced later on as well.
