Fortnite Season 8

Season 8 for Epic Games’ Fortnite is going live today, and that means a new cinematic trailer. This one might be a little complicated for those out of the loop. Basically, the Prisoner – who is now free from the Ice King’s castle – is all fired up and chasing a treasure. However, a pirate and his crew are after the same, as is the Ice King. Got it? Good.

A new Battle Pass is also available for 950 V-Bucks. It contains 100 new cosmetic rewards to earn with two progressive outfits – Blackheart and Hybrid – available immediately upon purchasing the pass. Leveling up the pass will evolve these styles further, along with netting other skins (like a banana costume).

The Battle Pass trailer also showcases some of the new areas on the Fortnite: Battle Royale map, like Sunny Steps. We also get a look at the new emotes, dances, pets, cannons that can shoot players (and destroy buildings), and much more. Check it all out below. Just don’t expect any planes.
