Epic’s excellent post launch-support and unique brand of storytelling with Fortnite comes in the form of seasons, with each new one bringing about some pretty major new additions and changes to the game’s map. While we’re currently in Season 5, the next major update to the game is not long away now.
Epic Games has announced via the official Fortnite Twitter account that Season 6 of the battle royale title will be kicking off on September 27, Thursday- which is interesting, because the game’s in-game timer claims that Season 6 was supposed to start on Monday, which means the actual launch is slightly delayed.
However, before Season 6 kicks off, the coming weekend is also going to be a pretty exciting time for those who’re addicted to Fortnite (which is tens of millions of people), since the entire weekend, up until September 24 at 8 AM ET, will see you earning additional 400% match XP.
Recently, it came to light that Fortnite had its biggest month ever in August, with the total player count for the month standing at nearly 80 million. Read more on that through here.
Season 6 is now dropping from the Battle Bus on September 27.
Celebrate its arrival and unlock those final Battle Pass rewards with an additional 400% Match XP all weekend, from now until September 24 at 8 AM ET (1200 GMT). Glide into the party! 🎉
