But adds a new gun.

Once upon a time, Fortnite‘s shotguns were utterly useless. In an attempt to remedy that, Epic Games buffed them up- so much that now they’re absurdly overpowered, and dominate the metagame. Epic has stated it plans to balance them properly in an upcoming update. The new version 4.4 patch that just came out is not that update, though.

This patch leaves shotguns untouched. They function as they have since their buff now. On the other hand, it does add some new guns to the game, as well as removing the jetpack (sad). The 50v50 mode, as well as Sniper Shootout modes, are both back now thanks to this update as well. A new soccer arena has also been added to the map north of pleasant park. Happy soccer world cup everyone.

Fortnite is available now on PS4, Xbox One, PC, and iOS smartphones. Apparently, it will also be launched for Nintendo Switch tomorrow.
