Fortnite Zero Build

Fortnite is inarguably one of the biggest games in the market right now, and Epic Games has been capitalizing on the game’s immense popularity by porting it to as many platforms as possible. The company has now brought its game to Xbox Cloud Gaming in partnership with Microsoft, and that too without the need to purchase any subscriptions.

That means interested fans can just sign up for Xbox’s cloud streaming service and start playing Fortnite without having to invest in any Xbox Game Pass Ultimate memberships. It’s available now, and with built-in touch controls. Of course, given its immense popularity on mobile devices, it’s no surprise that Fortnite works really well even without a controller. Incidentally, this also means that Fortnite has returned at long last to iOS devices, even if it is via indirect means.

Fortnite is the first free-to-play game on the cloud platform, and Xbox has said in a recent Xbox Wire post that it will continue to add many such games to the platform in the future as well.

“It’s an important step to add a free-to-play title to the cloud gaming catalog as we continue our cloud journey. We’re starting with Fortnite and will look to bring more free-to-play games people love in the future. At Xbox we want to make gaming accessible to the 3 billion players around the world, and cloud has an important role in that mission. Quite simply we want you to have more choice in both the games you play and the way you choose to play them,” the blog update reads.

On the topic of free-to-play games, Microsoft is also working on an in-game advertisement program for such games- read more on that through here.
