Season 2 of Epic Games’ Fortnite: Chapter 2 was meant to come to a close in April. This was delayed to June 4th but it now seems there will be one more delay before Season 3 has a chance to begin. The developer announced that Season 3 will now begin on June 11th.

In the meantime, there’s a new one-time only live event taking place on June 6th at 2 PM ET called The Device. It seems that space is limited so make sure to arrive 30 minutes before the event starts to “secure your spot”. What could go down? We’ll have to wait until next Saturday to find out.

Despite these delays, Fortnite is still going strong. Earlier this month, Epic Games reported over 350 million registered players with over 3.2 billion hours played in April alone. The title has also been confirmed to release for Xbox Series X and PS5 when both consoles launch and will migrate over to Unreal Engine 5 in mid-2021.
