EA Sports tends to announce its new yearly FIFA instalments in or around July of every year, and as expected, FIFA 23 is going to be announced soon. EA Sports recently took to Twitter to announce the same, confirming that the game’s full reveal is set for tomorrow, Wednesday, July 20.
Meanwhile, the cover stars for this year’s game have also been revealed. PSG’s French forward Kylian Mbappe and Chelsea’s Australian striker Sam Kerr will be the cover stars for FIFA 23’s Ultimate Edition. This isn’t the first time that Mbappe is on a FIFA cover, but Sam Kerr will become the first female professional footballer to be featured as the cover star of a FIFA game.
The Standard Edition, meanwhile, will feature Kerr as the cover star in Australia and New Zealand, and Mbappe as the cover star everywhere else in the world. If you want Kerr on the cover of your physical copy anyway, you can purchase that version worldwide exclusively through Amazon.
FIFA 23 will, of course, be the last game in the series to use the FIFA license, with the name EA Sports FC being adopted starting with next year. Past leaks have claimed that FIFA 23, which will allegedly feature cross-play, is set to launch on September 30. Read more on that through here.
