Ubisoft has quite a few big games coming up like Rainbow Six Quarantine and Far Cry 6. But while the leaks have been flowing for the former, the latter has had seemingly nothing (aside from warnings about fake emails promising early access). That could be changing soon though, according to game design director Ted Timmins.
Responding to a user on Twitter, Timmins said to wait “just for a bit longer” and that the team had “exciting content to show.” Far Cry 6 was initially slated to launch in February of this year but was subsequently delayed to fiscal year 2021 to 2022. Ubisoft would clarify its release window to fall somewhere between April 2021 and September 2021.
Despite a Microsoft Store listing that indicated a May 26th launch, no further details or updates have been provided. Far Cry 6 is currently in development for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, Xbox One, PS4, PC and Google Stadia. The open world title will target 4K/60 FPS on current-gen consoles.
