Motive Studio’s remake of Dead Space is out next week, and pre-loads are live for Xbox Series X/S pre-orders as of 8 AM PT today. However, those on PS5 and PC will have to wait until January 25th, 8 AM PT.
Based on Visceral’s 2008 sci-fi horror game, Dead Space features revamped visuals and improvements to atmospherics, sound effects, lighting, and so on. It also runs at 1440p/60 FPS or 4K/30 FPS with ray tracing on consoles. New features include the Peel system for realistic limb damage to Necromorphs and an Intensity Director that randomly adds terrifying events while playing.
New narrative side quests, story-telling changes, new areas, and more are also confirmed. Dead Space launches on January 27th worldwide. Head here to learn more about the biggest differences between the original and the remake. Also, pre-purchases on Steam receive Dead Space 2 for free, in case you need an incentive to pre-order.
Convergence is imminent. Set a reminder to pre-load #DeadSpace onto your preferred gaming platform!
