Motive Studio’s Dead Space is a wonderfully faithful remake of the 2008 sci-fi survival horror, except with improved visuals, new content, revamped mechanics and even an alternate ending. However, cheat codes present in the original don’t carry over. You can’t instantly receive Credits or Nodes or refill Oxygen, Stasis and Kinesis energy.

However, there is a way to get an absurd amount of credits, and it’s pretty easy to pull off.

How to Get Infinite Credits In Dead Space Remake

As discovered by Mrthrowawaymcgee on Reddit, you need the Pulse Rifle unlocked. Obtain seven Power Nodes, which are used to upgrade the weapon, and have 15,000 Credits on hand. Next, go to the tram area at the end of Chapter 1. It’s to prevent the Intensity Director from spawning enemies that can get to you.

Use the alternate fire of the Pulse Rifle, dropping mines and depleting the ammo. Aim at the mine and press alt-fire again to turn it into ammo. Pick up the ammo, which has converted into 25 rounds. Go to the Bench and upgrade the Capacity of the Pulse Rifle, which refills the magazine. Repeat the process, picking up ammo and then upgrading the weapon again. Only go for Capacity upgrades, as these refill the magazine every time.

Once you’ve fully maxed out the Capacity and picked up all the ammo, go to the Store and sell the stacks. Now return to the Bench and spend 5,000 Credits to reset the weapon to its base form. Repeat the process. Each time it’s done, you’ll receive 4,000 Credits in profit.

Another method is to use the Line Gun acquired in Chapter 5. The same process applies and is more efficient in terms of net gains.

Dead Space is available on Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. Check out our review here for more details.
