Call of Duty fans have plenty to look forward to in the near future, especially where new reveals are concerned. Activision previously announced that on a Call of Duty: Next livestream on September 15, it’ll reveal new details on the upcoming Modern Warfare 2’s multiplayer and formally unveil Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0, while recently, the company also confirmed that Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile will receive new details as well.

Of course, where the next mainline Warzone experience on PC and consoles are concerned, we can likely expect to learn more about how it will fit within the series’ current framework. Interestingly enough, however, according to prominent insider Tom Henderson, instead of replacing its predecessor, Warzone 2.0 will run alongside it.

Taking to Twitter, Henderson recently said that Activision is going to keep on releasing updates and DLC for Call of Duty: Warzone even after its sequel has released. The free-to-play battle royale shooter will allegedly be renamed to Call of Duty: Warzone Caldera on November 28.

Presumably, that’s around the time that Warzone 2.0 will launch. Activision has previously said that the battle royale sequel will launch in 2022, while leaks have claimed that it’s set to come out on November 16.

Either way, it seems like we’ll know more soon enough. Stay tuned for further updates.
