In the long term, Microsoft wants to slowly replace Call of Duty Mobile with the upcoming Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile.

The free-to-play shooter saw "well above" $1 billion in player spending in 2021, with MAU almost equaling the series' PC and console numbers.
Activision attributes the steep drop-off to lower player engagement in Call of Duty: Warzone and relatively lower sales for Call of Duty: Vanguard.
