It looks like Redfall's physical copies on PC and Xbox Series X will come with a download code for the game rather than a disc.
Though you will have the option to play through all of Redfall solo, you'll still require a persistent online connection to play the shooter.
"I'm just really encouraged by the strength that Bethesda's going to show in our portfolio," says the Xbox boss.
You'll need some strong hardware to run the open-world co-op shooter when it launches on May 2nd for Xbox Series X/S and PC.
The Bite Back Edition will come with a Hero Pass, the Throwback Outfit Pack, a Laser Beam multi-weapon skin, and the Tactical Knife Stake weapon attachment.

The official German Xbox blog states that release dates for the three upcoming first party titles will be announced at the showcase later this month.
Expect to hear more about Redfall, Forza Motorsport, Minecraft Legends, The Elder Scrolls Online, and more.
The rumored event will also reportedly look at major titles that Microsoft is releasing this year and could be a recurring event.
