The world is down with The Last of Us fever right now, what with HBO’s adaptation of Naughty Dog’s seminal game taking everyone by storm. That, unsurprisingly, has resulted in boosted sales for the games as well, and with the series set to make its PC debut as well, it’s more than a little likely that those numbers are going to keep ticking upward in the weeks to come. However, the wait for that PC debut is doing to be a tad longer than previously expected.
Taking recently to Twitter, Naughty Dog announced that The Last of Us Part 1’s PC version has seen a slight delay. Previously set to launch on March 3, the remake will now release for the platform later in the month on March 28.
“We want to make sure that The Last of Us Part 1 PC debut is in the best shape possible,” the developer says. “These additional few weeks will allow us to ensure this version of The Last of Us lives up to you, and our, standards.”
The developer also says it will be “sharing more” about the remake’s PC version soon.
On PC, The Last of Us Part 1 will be priced at $59.99, which is $10 cheaper than its price on the PS5. Meanwhile, it will also feature support for the Steam Deck at launch. You can read our review of the game through here.
