Resident Evil 4 is launching in a little over two months, and though Capcom is supposedly preparing to reveal more details on the remake this month, there’s still plenty that we don’t know about it. Some of those unknown details, however, may recently have to light through not-exactly-official means.
IMDB has published a full cast list of the Resident Evil 4 remake, and interestingly, it seems to confirm enigmatic series villain and fan-favourite character Albert Wesker for the game, who will seemingly be played by Connor Fogarty. Fogarty also voiced Wesker in last year’s Dead by Daylight and Resident Evil collaboration.
Wesker was, of course, featured in the original Resident Evil 4 as well, and though he didn’t have too much of a role to play in the base game’s story, he was much more prominently involved in the Ada Wong-focused Separate Ways campaign. Prior to the remake’s announcement, leaks suggested that it would also include the Separate Ways content, though that isn’t something that Capcom has officially confirmed as of yet.
Meanwhile, the aforementioned cast list also seems to reveal other details – seemingly, Ashley Graham, the US President’s daughter who serves as one of the game’s central characters, will be played by Nicole Tompkins, who also played Jill Valentine in the Resident Evil 3 remake. It has previously confirmed that Ashley’s new character model is based on the likeness of Dutch Instagram model Ella Freya.
Keep in mind that these details haven’t yet been officially confirmed, but with new details on the remake likely to be revealed in the near future, hopefully it won’t be too long before we get official word on its casting, among other things.
Meanwhile, recently, Capcom confirmed that the remake won’t be cutting out the original’s divisive island section – read more on that through here.
Resident Evil 4 is due out on March 24 for PS5, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, Xbox One, and PC.
