After years of terrible games, Visual Concepts’ WWE 2K22 finally struck gold, delivering a quality wrestling experience for fans and exceeding expectations for 2K Games. It seems a given that WWE 2K23 is in the works, but a reveal is reportedly not too far off.
Insider Gaming’s Tom Henderson spoke to “people familiar with the game,” who revealed that 2K is holding an event on January 28th, the same day as the WWE Royal Rumble. It will reportedly provide the first look at the title while also providing hands-on gameplay. Details on “select matches” for the 2K Showcase mode and a new mode are also coming.
That’s not all, as more details are allegedly coming on February 1st. WWE 2K23 is seemingly releasing by the end of March, though platforms have yet to be confirmed. Considering WWE 2K22 launched on Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC, its successor should follow the same routine.
While not a lot about the gameplay is known, rumors indicate changes to the pinning system and updates to MyFaction and MyGM for increased replay value at launch and through post-launch updates. Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks.
