Like most RPG games, Atomic Heart comes with a bunch of skills that you can use to augment your character and make him more powerful than ever. There are a total of 7 skill trees and each of them contain numerous abilities that drastically change the way you can play the game. Let’s discuss the skill tree in detail and how it can be used to enhance your playstyle.

List of Skills in Atomic Heart

After you walk up to a console, select the second option ‘Charles needs a tune-up’ to open up the skill tree. Here is a list of all the skills under each skill tree.

Shok

Shok is an electromagnetic attack capable of disabling Dandelion and Pchela’s cameras. Even robots are vulnerable to the attack, including the bosses. You can also use the ability to activate mechanisms. There are a total of 10 passive abilities/upgrades under the Shok skill and they are as follows:

Frostbite

How do skills work in Atomic Heart

  • To use a skill, you’ll have to install it first. All installed skills are indicated by a hexagonal shape at the lower left part of the screen.
  • The square nodes are regarded as upgrades that improve the utility and effectiveness of the pre-installed skills.
  • You can only have two active skills at a time. If you want to use other skills, you’ll have to replace them with the ones that are already active.

How to max out the skills in Atomic Heart

  • Every skill comes with several abilities/buffs/upgrades. In order to max out a skill, you’ll have to farm Polymers and use it to unlock all the nodes one by one.
  • Some upgrades have prerequisites. You’ll have to unlock an ability before it in order to get access to the next one, so plan carefully.
